Thanksgiving move out of the way Christmas is on the way
Thats right...the turkey was great...the company was fabulous...but now its time for Christmas....I LOVE CHRISTMAS...I love the hustle and bustle of the holiday ...I love the Christmas music....pretty much 24/7 from now until the 1st....haaaa no more Zepplin for Collin.........thank goodness...unless of course they did a Christmas Album......and I highly doubt it...so I should be safe on that issue...I love baking and cooking and the holiday candles filling the air...chilly walks thru the neighborhood enjoying all the festive decorations....I do though honor every holiday...so the pumkins will finally come down today...and the reindeer will find there place among the lighted Christmas trees and whatever else we can fit in this little yard....Winston and Mooks dressed in their holiday scarfs....I now get to pull out my cheesy Christmas coat with snowman on it...to proudly wear during the holidays....I don't mind the snickers and laughs from the gals at work...laughed at I guess is better than no laughs at all....I graciously though take all the compliments to come from the old and the young...we will attend all the outings that we can fit in...tomorrow Santa comes thru downtown on his sleigh...along with the kiwanis club....fireman....the local boy scouts....we will be wrapped up in blankets on the side of the curb waiting for our sneak peak at the horses...the pretty cars...fire trucks...and then finally Santa....the warm thermos of hot choclate on your hands feels as good as the hot coaco taste...yes these are the things that I Love about Christmas.....I look forward to catching up with friends and family during the holiday time...I am even going to do a little shopping today...just enough to enjoy all the displays and what each store has to offer.....shopping will be on the short list this year but thats ok....because it never really has been why I LOVE CHRISTMAS...it is the family time that I love....reflecting on the year....listening on the news the stories of hope, stories of failure to success, the stories that touch your heart...real stories about real people.....making you feel so fortunate that you weren't one of those stories this year....with that it is time to put on my cheesy jacket...put Dylan in his adorable holiday hat...force the scarves upon the pets....pull out the reindeer and get this day started..........hoping you all enjoy the holidays in your own way...as much as I am going to.......
