Who would have thought........

Who would have thought that a new washer and dryer would someday cost approximately the same amount as a nice used car...........well that day was yesterday....I am some what embarrassed and uncomfortable for spending sooooooo much money on a new washer and dryer.....the darn things are fairly intimidating with tons of cycles, alarms, settings, digital read out, special child locks, steam stuff, sanitizer things, you name it....it can probably do it.....the big question it can we figure out how to use all these gadgets...part of me is scared to touch the wrong button and I think the darn thing is going to yell back at me with sirens and alarms....I am really not sure why we took the leap and purchased these shiny silver monsters....of course we got the top of the line washer and dryer with every bell and whistle...perhaps it was because we were so confused by comparing all the features we decided that we might as well get them all.....really the main reason we got the top of the line washer was because it had the largest tub capacity......so that when we wash our king comforter it actually comes clean...won't that be nice for a change....with all the water and energy the new washer and dryer will save us we figure that they will actually pay for themselves by the time we retire........it will be interesting to see if we actually read the 200 page manual that comes with these super machines I am sure that we will have to read at least the first 30 pages or so just to figure out how to put the soap in and to turn them on...............I can't wait to see how much cleaner our clothes are...I know I am going to be sick to my stomach as soon as I wash the first load and dry it....and somehow I already know that I am not going to see a difference.......oh well............I will say that when we purchased our kitchen appliances we bought top of the line and have been thrilled with our purchases so I am hoping for the same with the new washer and dryer.....by the way they are so commanding when you see them that I think I am going to name them.....with that I need to go............
