Once again the only excuse that I can come up with is that......we have been busy busy busy....so something must give when we are this busy...it is our blog that tends to suffer.....well lets see so much has been happening since I last blogged....so we will just take it one subject at a time...
Most important-----Dylan is now 1...we had a wonderful birthday party for him 2 Saturday's ago....he got lots and lots of wonderful gifts and we enjoyed the day with family and friends....I made him a ice cream cake for his birthday....it turned out pretty good....next year I promise to take a cake decorating class so that it turns our really good....as strange and silly as it sounds it just seems like it is a mom's duty to bake her child's Birthday Cake....of course by the time he is 4 he will be begging for a fancy cartoon character store bought cake...Collin built Dylan a awesome sand box in the back yard....it is huge with a big red umbrella right in the middle...we also splurged and got Dylan a top of the line with all the bells and whistles....Kettler trike....he really loves his trike.....and we love it to.....it is very cool and he goes everyone in it.....this first year has been truly amazing and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful little boy to call our son....Dylan truly is the light of our life....
Collin has been extremely busy with mowing lawns....and has over 20 lawns to mow every week.......when he is not mowing, building sand boxes, or finishing yes dear projects he tries to get away on a quick ride on his new Motorcycle......it is a well deserved indulgence for him
Real Estate.........has been crazy....the last couple of weeks have been exhausting....I have put 4 properties under contract in the last 2 weeks.....have another listing this coming week that should go under contract very quickly....am working on a large commercial lease for the FAA and after 4 months of working on this lease I think we are now within weeks of getting a signed contract...........and several clients that I am working with on building customs home for....so I can't complain but I am thinking that I don't want to get much busier....right now we are able to balance work and home and I still spend alot of quality time with Dylan but we don't have much free time to spare....we truly are blessed
Home improvement..........a never ending story at the Moody house....we are now getting bids to get all the windows replaced.....with the government $1500.00 rebate we decided to move forward and get windows replaced this year....we were going to wait until next year....but with the rebate we just couldn't pass it up....the veggie garden is doing well and we have already started eating salad from the garden.........so much fun....we are going to work on our rental this Friday and get the front yard landscaped .....I also think Collin is going to put in one more flower garden for us at our home....it will be a shade garden on the back of the house....otherwise we will call it good for this year...................well I think we will............
Grandparents.........have been awesome....Nain...Collin's mom has been a huge help and often come up to take care of Dylan.....the two of them get along just fine....it is fun to watch memories being built between these two....as a mother you always hope to have a Grandparent be able to be so involved in your little ones life...we are truly blessed that Dylan and his Nain get to spend so much time together....Grandpa Moody and Grandma Joy made a special trip from California to be here for Dylan's first Birthday....he is such a lucky little boy to have such wonderful Grandparents that love him so much....it was amazing to see how close he got to his Grandma Joy and Grandpa Moody during their visit......he loved sitting on his Grandpa Moody's lap as Grandpa would sing to him......Grandpa Hill might be making a trip out here in the next couple of months to see Dylan and help us put in Windows.....we are keeping our fingers crossed.....we will also be making another trip back to Rapid City here in the next month to see Grandma and Grandpa Davis......we try to make it back to Rapid as often as we can.....it seems like every week Dylan is doing something new......and we don't want Grandma and Grandpa Davis to miss any of the baby milestones......................
well I am tired and ready for bath and bed.................hope all is well and will do my best to write more often..............
