By popular demand....once again Winston will be bringing home the bacon $$$$...sometime later this month I will be taking Winston along with Mr Mooks to the vet to deposit his wealth....Lolita a darling English Bulldog has decided that among all the available suitors that Winston is the one...so with that here in the next 90 days or so Winston along with the help of Mr Mooks will be the proud father of a litter of pups...the last time we took Winston in to father a litter of pups...it was a stressful embarrassing mess........I swore at the time that I would never breed Winston again....but $1000.00 stud fee has somewhat faded the stressful embarrassing mess that I am sure I will have to endure once more........we often have thoughts of giving up Mr Mooks the Cat but he has received a reprieve....you see with out Mr Mooks...no puppies...no money...so Mr Mooks is once again receiving quite a bit of attention...we make sure that he is not outside to long that he gets enough of food...sun...whatever it takes to make him happy....and Winston....well Winston just knows he is special....the rule has always been what Winston wants...Winston gets....pretty much period.....I put the pretty much in there for Collin...it makes it easier for him to swallow the truth....pretty much is not a absolute.....though we all no the real truth.....I am personally glad that Winston will be helping with bringing home the bacon for the family....it allows me justification to spoil him even more....and with that we are having a delightful relaxing day...making sure that Mr Mooks is well cared for and that of course King Winston is getting whatever he wants......

Waiting for Pops
Dylan and I are up early waiting for Pops to come home this morning...so far it is a beautiful Friday morning.....it makes you want spring to be here sooo bad...it almost fools you....getting you excited about putting in a garden...enjoying morning tea out on the patio....I guess that's what I love so much about this area...you really look forward to the seasons.....it wasn't long ago that I couldn't wait for the brisk morning air to arrive so that I could put a sweater on in the cool mornings looking for the leaves to change...and of course by September I am tired of watering all my flowers....then it is time for Winter which brings time for long awaited napps on the couch in the afternoons and dreams of hot cocoa and walking thru the snow....so with that I am now dreaming of all the Spring and Summer fun that will be arriving soon.....this year with a one year old in tow......anyways back to life....we should have a great weekend.....we won 2 tickets to a college basketball game 2nd row seats for Saturday...a party in Eaton on Sunday...and a closing this morning with work.....plus Collin has a test for work next week so lots of studying for him this next couple of day....Dylan is really starting to move and is working quite hard at pulling himself up on things....the crawling is progressing but he gets aggravated with it quite quickly...and then moves on to skills that he has already mastered.....well with that I need to get moving on my closing....the closing today was on a house built in the 1870's so with the help of Collin we went to the library...and our local city archives and found some really neat history on their home and pictures of their neighborhood from the 1800's and early 1900's they will really enjoy knowing some history on their home and the surrounding neighborhood so I am excited to be able to get it for them.........

Thursday
Well all is well......last night was a little rough.....mostly due to the dogs...they had to go potty at 1:30am in the morning....Dylan then got restless about 2:30 due to a wet diaper thus a wet bed.....anyways once Dylan was changed he was ready for action.....he wanted nothing to do with sleep...so we sent Dad to the guest bedroom since he had to work this morning...I got the toys out on the bed and we played for about 30 to 40 minutes or so ...we ended up back to sleep sometime around 3:45.....and were wide awake by 7:00 am.............it is now 9:00 am and Dylan is down for his first nap....I am home today and am feeling well enough that I am going to go for a walk/jog in the park .....maybe go see Collin at the station for dinner....otherwise going to keep a pretty low profile...it seems that I am just sick enough that I feel great in the morning but by the time afternoon gets here I am pretty wiped out....I think I am close to the turning point on this though and am hoping that I feel good all day today....I don't think I have mentioned lately how much I love my office that I work at...I really work with such a great group of people.....and feel so lucky to have landed at #1 Properties....on the work front I have a closing tomorrow....and another one scheduled for next month...then hopefully one more on the commercial property...then I am dead in the water for the moment...so that means I need to get hustling on more business.......well with that time to go

Better
Today I am better.........not so much yesterday...and even worse on Saturday...but today is much better....I have been battling a cold/asthma/seems like always something .... for sometime....as of Saturday around noon there was no longer denying it....off the the doctor I went....I had so much congestion built up that my left eye literally felt like it was going to pop out....my whole left side of my fact was throbbing.........after the doctor visit....with medicine and painkillers in tow...I made my way to bed at 1:00 pm...seriously the head pain stuff was way worse than my c section ever was.............good news though I am much better today...and in my office being productive except for this immediate activity of blogging....Collin and Dylan are meeting me for lunch then back to work at the computer till this afternoon until 5 or so...........then home.......

Fun
Last night was a great time....we played games games and more games...lots of laughter...drinking...eating...and even dancing...you know your get together was a hit when you see a group of 10-middle ages women doing the electric slide in the living room....
I am at work this morning....just showed another commercial property to a client and now I have floor duty until 2:00 pm...then I am going to go home and vegg for the rest of the day...
We opened Dylan's first bank account this morning....he has $1100.00 in his first cd......and $5.00 in his saving account...we will keep adding as we go....I think a good portion of our lawn mowing and snow removal money will go into his CD account and birthday money and chore money will go into his savings account............ahhh what fun

A Moment
It has been a busy morning....I am at work now and taking a moment before I meet with a client who is purchasing a home from me...he is also in need of a commercial property for business so we are going to go look at a couple that might fit his needs...otherwise...up fairy early....I am having my Ladies night party this evening...so the chili is done...just needs to simmer...the guacamole is done...the cornbread is done...the cookie dough is done....I need to chill the soda and coolers....get out extra tables....do a little tiding up and we should be ready for a good time....Collin went to the Banff film festival last night in Laramie and really enjoyed himself...I stayed home and cooked and played with Dylan...Dylan seems to get around but really isn't crawling at this point....he really wants to be a big boy though and at times protest eating baby food or using a baby spoon...if it is going into our mouth he wants it and at times has quite a stubborn streak...I have no idea where he got that from ;)...he also loves to look at himself and other babies...we have put up quite a few pictures of him and he loves to just look at them and smile....he also loves the cups that Collin and I have that have a mosaic of pictures of Dylan on them....I am going to put together a photo album of pictures of Dylan and the rest of the family so that he can look at it and we can say the names as it corresponds to the picture...I think he will really enjoy it...well with that I need to call it a post...........until next time

Green tea and baby teeth
It is a beautiful day here in Cheyenne this morning...I am sitting here drinking green tea and Dylan is playing...you can know see his one of his top front teeth coming in..........so cute....yet so painful for both of us....nursing is difficult when he is teething and painful....once the teething is done...somehow we figure it out and not so painful anymore....had a great weekend....Valentines day was nice..we went out to lunch....went for a walk...ate our chocolates and enjoyed the day...Sunday I did a little clearance rack shopping at Dillard's....I got a new bed ensemble it was 70% off with a additional 30% off...we got a new Duvet cover, bed skirt, shams, and a throw it was very nice quality stuff...that I normally could not justify buying but at those prices I couldn't resist....I rearranged somethings in our bedroom and am pleased with the new bedding.....I worked all day yesterday...while Collin stayed in with Dillybar....I think they had a nice guys day together....Collin is coming down with the cold that me and Dylan just finished with......and not feeling his best but managed to make it to work.....today we our home...with the weather so nice and my cold feeling better I am going to try to manage a run around the park this afternoon...I have signed up for a 10k race...and my training started out rather well...then came the cold and the snow....so hopefully my asthma and cold will cooperate enough for a quick jog around the park...also I am having a dinner here on Thursday night...each month someone different host a get together at their home...so I need to start planning for it...I am hosting for this Thursday.....we are doing a game night....Bingo...door prizes.. card games....count how many m&m's in the jar....can't use a word all night game....the biggest loser prize so if you are lousy at games you win a prize also....I am thinking about making Chili and Cornbread with honey butter...followed by homemade chocolate chip cookies warm from the oven for dessert...since gaming will take up most of the evening this is something simple that people can serve themselves and eat as much as they want as we play.......well with that I am off to get my day started

Happy Valentine's Day
I am a certified cheese ball.........I love all Holidays...Valentines is a wonderful and warm holiday....no you don't have to go buy flowers....cards....candies...but it is nice to take a moment and let everyone around you know how much they mean to you ...and perhaps do something nice for them....I mean really does it hurt to write a special note....bake some cookies....give that special loved one a back rub...extra treats for the dogs......call your family and let them know how much they mean to you.........with that we are enjoying our Valentines Day....Collin got home this morning we shared a cup of coffee and opened each others cards we made for each other...had some of our chocolates from See's....decided that they were not nearly as good as we remembered....but that didn't stop us from trying a couple of more just to make sure....I think they really are pretty good....we will check again sometime this afternoon...I am sure we will keep checking until they are all gone....it snowed last night....so Collin headed out to go snow blow and I am getting ready for work...I baked yesterday and dropped off cookies at the firestation and have some here for Collin and I am going to bake some bananna bread sometime today.....Dylan is playing on the floor....I have to work till 1:00 perhaps after work we will go out to lunch...we have a gift certificate and might use that for lunch.....Collin has been itching to go to the movie so we might go to the dollar show this afternoon after lunch sometime.........with that I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day...

Snow
Today is a cold snowy day....a perfect day to stay inside...keep warm and bake....I am going to bake some bananna bread for Collin...I think I am also going to take him lunch today....I am also going to bake cookies for Valentines Day for tomorrow...since the addition of the new printer we have dedcided to start making all of our cards here at home for different occassions...right now they are fairly simple....but hopefully this spring we can get a space set up for me downstairs with a table so that I can do crafts downstairs......it gets to messy and hard to keep things organized upstairs...It will be nice to have everything in one spot....this year we are hoping to tackle a garden spot...stain a little fence...and maybe get Dylan a tree house in the backyard...next year I believe we will tackle new windows for the house and start working towards remodeling the basement...I think we will have the windows professionally put in but we are going to attempt to do most of the basement remodel ourselves...of course leaving the plumbing, electrical, and drywall, and carpet to the professionals...so I guess that leaves tear out and framing for us...followed up by painting when it is all done....we went and looked at a couple of homes yesterday....they are always nice to look at ..then we come home and decide that we really like our home and the lifestyle it provides for us.........well with that....have a great day

Random
No I have not tore into the box of chocolates as of yet....but I did manage to grab a handful of peanut butter m&m's.....We have been doing a little sprucing up around the house....cleaning blinds...in between sofa seats.....wiping down baseboards......you know the fun stuff...tomorrow should be extra exciting since I am going to organize the cupboards..........the beauty of a small house it that there aren't many cupboards to organize...the bad thing about a small house is that 3 items out of place and the whole place looks like it is wiped out....Dylan is teething again...I keep looking at him thinking about how I will never see him again at this age without two front teeth here shortly....I am kind of sad.....he is so darn cute when he gives you one of his grins...and he has these 2 little bottom teeth....he is not crawling yet...but is managing to get around.....he also loves adult food.....and is eager to try whatever we might be having at the time...Maggie is fitting in quite well and all is peaceful on the pet page...........we had a neighbor that came walking up the street with the 2 most beautiful Great Pyrenees..........I ran out to pet them....as we talked they told me that they wanted to find a home for one of them since it was their daughters and she can no longer keep it.....so they got stuck with theirs and hers............they called us last night to see if we would like to have him.............of course I said no...........well it wasn't of course...but Collin gave me the look...the looks as if you do it....you are seriously crazy and will really make me question what I got myself into with this nut of a woman.......so I am still thinking about it...weighing my options........hmmmmmmmmmm....just kidding........well kind of.....Winston has excepted Maggie but I think I would lose the house vote on another dog....perhaps only myself and maybe Mr Mooks would consider this a possible idea.........now don't fret everyone......we are not getting another dog.........but it was fun making you all so nervous.......especially Collin....well work is good........had a closing this week.......this means $$$$ in my pocket with more of that on the way this month and next month.......picked up another referral.....I think this will be a good year business wise.......not great but good........and I am happy with that.....I think we have finally found a happy balance with business and family.....lets see running...well I have had a terrible cold this last week.........attempted to run yesterday and got struck down with my asthma....tomorrow though I am going to try again...well with that I am going to call this a blog and spend sometime with the family

self destruct
I have been fairly good on my diet...and am within a day or so of losing 15 pounds since the first of January...of course I wish I have lost more but am pleased with my weight loss so far....but that is all about to change...I am about ready to self destruct....I know...I am telling myself don't don't do it Denise...but really it is futile....it is going to happen...and I am counting the days...soon it will be hours until my moment comes.......so here it is...the moment of self destruct will promptly come next Saturday...I would guess somewhere around 8:15 or so in the morning...you see it will be Valentines day....and we ordered a box of chocolates from See's Candies....and not just any box of candy but we custom ordered it with all of our favorites.......so there is absolutely no chance that there will be one yucky flavored chocolate left in the box...we got the box yesterday...we carefully pulled it out of the shipping box trying our best not to tear the pretty Valentine paper it is wrapped in...I think if we tore the wrapping we would quickly succumb to the idea that it is now ruined and we must eat all of the chocolates immediately...so for now it sits on the kitchen island...like a little beacon calling to us every time we walk by it...begging us to rip off its pretty paper and to delve into chocolate heaven......

Sick...........
Dylan is sick with a cold.........went to the doctor all is ok just a cold.........I am sharing the same cold....and Maggie had to go to the vet with a ear infection.......business has been busy....Dylan is handling the cold like a champ...the diet is going well and I should be at a solid 15 pounds lighter since the first of the year sometime in the next couple of days....I have also decided to do the Bolder to Boulder 10k on Memorial Day with a couple of friends.........o boy o boy...what did I get myself into....when I got the email from a friend who wondered if I wanted to do it.......I thought to myself are you crazy...........me ....run...........I hate running..........actually I have never been a runner............but as I shared the info with Collin he was so excited for me for the opportunity...that I then got excited....and then talked myself right into it....I really don't like working out on a treadmill or in a gym....I like bike riding and tennis....and well running will be outside not in a gym....so I like that........and I like setting goal and reaching them and seeing my progress........and well running will allow me this.......and it will be great for my weight loss.......so I ran yesterday.........I should say jog....I will never be a actual runner.........but I can see myself as a jogger...........I hate to admit it...........but it felt really good.........and I took my inhaler before I took off and it seemed to manage my asthma very well...and Dylan does great in his jogging stroller and Maggie really enjoyed herself also.......well I am home with Dillybar today we are going to go jogging in the park.........and spend the rest of the day playing...........

Score!!!!!!
Collin got to go with me to go and do our super shopping...we got $76.00 worth of groceries for $26.00...lets see my best deals were....milk for $1.50 a gallon...my shampoo and conditioner was a grand total of 40 cents after coupons...4/12 packs of soda for $8.00 thats less than 20 cents a can....we scored a free pizza...with a purchase of $25.00 or more and then scored $10.00 off our entire purchase if we bought more than $50.00 worth of groceries before coupons...and we are eating well....we still eat lots of fruits and veggies...and get our meat from Sam's Club which has excellent quality beef and chicken.....also another Score..work today was a breeze...I was expecting a all day venture...but everything just came together and I spent less than 2 hours at the office...all my deals are on tract....good news........another Score...Collin bought me my favorite all time candle....I love candles but have been frugal and have been buying affordable wal mart candles...he purchased two large Colonial House Vanilla Berry candles for me....normally about $25.00 a candle he got them for me at $13.00 a piece....I mentioned to him that their were at this closeout store and how they are my favorite candle....he went and got them for me........I'm so lucky....final score for the night.....the Bachelor is on......with that I need to go finish baking for my fellow co workers who will be viewing my new listing tomorrow...not such a score since I think I forgot to put in enough sugar.....................

After Dylan....life is better
Have you ever seen such a handsome young man...I am sure you have...but as his mother I have not...this afternoon Collin and I just looked at each other in amazement that this wonderful so special little boy came from us...Crazy...Dylan is changing daily...as cute as he is...his little smile makes me melt inside and he has the most wonderful fun little personality....he is such a happy boy and so much fun...I had to work yesterday morning...in then after work I went with a co worker to do a little shopping for a charity auction...we are making a couple of baskets to be donated....anyways every time I saw a little baby it made me miss Dillybar so much...I just wanted him to be shopping with me....I really enjoy his company and just wanted to go home and be with him....it is just amazing what a wonderful gift Dylan is in our lives...we were so excited while I was pregnant...but we were also nervous and scared....how would our lives change...could we handle being parents...I remember being in Wal-Mart one day and sizing up parents...I would tell myself if they can do it...then I can do it.. the financial unknown...the balance of being a couple...work...family....how would it all work....well it all works great....sure there have been sacrifices....but they are made willingly without a thought....before Dylan life was great.....after Dylan life is better
Things we have learned with Maggie
Maggie is doing quite well and she is quickly finding her place among the family...we have learned that she is ok with the snow...but would perfer stretching out on the hardwood floors indoors bathing herself with the warm sun as it streams thru the windows.....loves going in the car..truck...whatever might be moving at the time....loves her new dog bed.....she is a big fan of sleeping on the pillow on the bed....thinks Dylan ought to share his toys....we tend to agree most of the time....she has finally made good friends with Mr Mooks the cat...I think she feels honored when he rubs up against her or decides to share the water bowl with her....Winston has finally decided that she is really such a nice girl....that he just doesn't have the energy to be mean to her....he has though learned to eat quick....and to get what he wants...because once Maggie gets to the bowl...well the dog foods disappears quite quickly....they play often...ride well together in the car....and on occasion you can find them sharing the morning sun...sacked out on the dining room floor...Maggie has also found her voice....and can put together a pretty good barking session when someone comes to the door that she is unfamiliar with....I think she has claimed us as her family and her home...and feels it is part of her job to take care of us.....she has become quite the caretaker...from trying to lick Mr Mooks ears...to curling up with Winston....going on snowblowing jobs with Collin....giving Dylan a quick lick when he cries....and keeping me company when I take my evening bath....
