Cranky

No it isn't Dylan but his father...yes I know it's crazy....Collin and Cranky ...it just doesn't go together..but it is true...Collin has been cranky the last day or so...I can't say that I can blame him....neither one of us have had much of a break this week....and yesterday....well yesterday was just a down right hard day....we ended up with 8 snowblowing jobs yesterday....and they were tougher than usually since it took us a extra day to get to them....lots of snow packed side walks that had to literally be busted up....the whole family shoveled and snowblowed from about 7:30 until 10:30....then I had to come home and feed Dylan and get ready for a appointment at 11:30...so we left Collin to finish up the last 2 jobs on his own....I worked until about 6:30 and thought that I could finish the rest of my work from home last night....but after we ate....took a bath....Dylan was ready for bed...and if we had put him down for a nap it would have been a long night..........the whole family was sound asleep by 8:15 or so....so I am home today with Dylan I have one appointment this afternoon to sign some addendum's to a contract for another agents clients and have to get about 2 hours worth of office work that has to be done sometime today since it didn't get done yesterday.....and a appointment tomorrow at 9:00 am....poor Cranky Collin headed off to the fire station this morning....I think it was just a little much for him yesterday....I understand.... the good news is that he starts his 4 day tomorrow....no snow in the forecast....and I am just about caught up with everything ...so he should have a nice relaxing 4 days off this go around........as I read the paper this morning...we feel blessed as a family to be so busy with work...........

A Day of Rest......

Yesterday was actually a little longer than I thought it would be......it started at 7:45 and finally made it home to cook dinner at almost 7:00 last night....we have lots of diet food around and with the weather so called we really wanted something more substantial....we ended up having scrambled eggs...fried potatoes with peppers and toast....it was actually pretty good...I then quickly slipped into the bathtub...then Collin ...then Dylan...then to bed....business has been good I had a closing yesterday...a closing scheduled for the 13th of Feb and another closing scheduled for the 27th of February and a new listing next week that should also move quickly...it has been a challenge trying to manage work and home....most the time it works just fine...but this week I am very busy and Collin is working every other day....so its like trying to fit 5 days worth of work into 2 or 3....time management has become the key while I am at the office...today we are home....I am emailing....phoning...and faxing from home...setting all of my appointments for tomorrow....I am going to bake for Collin today...and drop off some treats for him at the station....tomorrow will be long days for both of us....I will have another 12 hours work day....and Collin needs to snow blow in the morning at at least 5 addresses...so most likely I will get up early....help him snow blow from 8 until 10:00 or so...then I will need to work at least until 3:00 let him snow blow a little more...back to work at 5:00 and at the office until 8:00 the good news is that even though tomorrow will be a long day ...we should be caught up by tomorrow night....also more good news....I have now lost 11 pounds...since the 1st....slowly but surely...still feeling confident and in control on the dieting......................with that I am going to spend the rest of my day with my Dillybar.............

California Dreamin

We are booked and ready to go....California here we come...it has been sometime since we have made a trip out to California...so now that we have booked the flights...booked the rooms....we are ready to go...we are both excited about getting away and seeing family....our first night we are going to stay in Carlsbad...we found a pretty good deal on Priceline and paid $85.00 for a 3 star hotel room...I was a little nervous at first but the hotel actually has gotten good ratings...we are looking forward to going to the beach and doing a little sight seeing...we arrive in Orange County on Thursday before Easter...late Friday evening we will head to Yucca Valley to spend Easter with my dad and hopefully will get to see the rest of the family....we are heading back to Orange County on Tuesday night and will see Collin's Dad and Joy before we settle in at a Hotel that is near the Airport...we also booked this hotel room on Priceline and we got a great deal at $75.00 a night for a 3 star Hotel....as affordable as we are travelling it is still expensive...but we are so excited to be taking Dylan on his first trip...Dylan has had a dream day...he slept in...took a hour nap...then a 3 hours nap....and is taking another nap.....of course all of these naps have been cuddled up with his mom....see what I mean about a dream day...in between naps...we played...nursed...ate...took a bath...and played some more...I truly enjoy days like today...it gets tough when I have to work....come home nurse....work...come home again...and then more work...it is very stressful....tomorrow will be one of those days.....I have a long day at work tomorrow it starts at 7:30 and will end somewhere around 5:00 then Collin needs to go to the library to study for a Fireman test that is coming up.....so probably no blogging tomorrow...well that is it for today...I really haven't been very clever with my blogs..............I will work on this.........

Relaxing

We have started our Saturday morning off quite relaxing...it has been sometime since the whole family has been together without plans....or work...or something that needed to get done...all of the pets are fast asleep...Maggie is fitting in just fine...Winston has decided that she is good girl...except when she tries to get on the bed...this is his territory....I guess we all have to draw our lines....we are all still in our pajamas...I think we will meander downstairs to work on getting the basement under control...it truly is our catch all space....I think we have decided that we will be spending Easter in California this year...the air fare is pretty affordable and it has been sometime since we have made the trip to see our family in California....we are hoping to make it to Washington perhaps in May...we will have to see if this will work with Collin's Aunt Carol and Uncle Herb...they travel often and might have already made plans to travel abroad....Dylan is playing with all of his toys...he really does love his toys...we ordered him his high chair and his new car seat....his high chair is a traditional wooden high chair....I don;t think it is as functional as the plastic ones but it goes better with our furniture and we will leave it out all of the time at the table...we were very happy with our car seat purchases....really nice and safe car seats are quite expensive...like $300.00 and up...so originally we were going to get one nice car seat and one well cheapo car seat....we never really felt good about that decision...thus we never moved forward on it....at the same time we had a hard time choking down the idea of spending $600.00 on car seats...so we were just kind of in a holding pattern...as I was online buying Dylan's high chair...I lucked out and found a really nice car seat that I have been looking at...they were $300.00 as I looked at the color options...the price dropped on one of the colors to $150.00...it is black and tan...they must be discontinuing this color or something...I checked on other websites and this color was still priced at $300.00...so with the savings we went ahead and bought 2 of them....that way Dylan will have the same car seat in both cars and will have a high quality safe seat in both vehicles...and the bonus is the color will actually match my car well which is black and tan...and Collin's whose is gold and black with tan leather interior....lucky day....

Happy Day

It has been a good day...worked this morning...spent the afternoon with the family...have a new deal that just went under contract....and got a new wireless printer, fax, copier, and scanner all in one for the house...I have wanted this particular unit for sometime but did not want to pay the cost of it....it is one of the new Kodak printers that have really affordable ink that last twice as long...it is not a must have...but will make it nice when I am working from home that I don't always have to go to work to print things or fax things that I need...we got it for $130.00 dollar with a 4 year warranty on it....it is normally a $300.00 machine so we are very excited about it...now the real question is will we know how to hook it up and how to work it.....uggghhhh this could turn out to be a whole day project....Dylan got a new pair of soft leather shoes today...and Daddy got a new safety box that is fire resistant for the house...he has really wanted one for a long time....he is very excited about getting organized and putting all of our important documents in it....I am actually very lucky to be married to someone that see's such a value in such a item....I also see the value but would clearly never take the necessary steps to insure our important documents...lucky me....Mr Mooks has been good with Maggie but today he truly embraced his new sister as he lovingly rubbed up against her....Maggie also went to work with me...everyone loved her...but they all thought she was well kind of on the chunky side...I guess I only see perfection in this loving sweet dog...I think that's about all for today I lost another pound so that puts me at 10 pounds....but it has been a tough day for watching my weight...usually I do really well...but I didn't eat breakfast today and since about 1:00 I have been feeling really weak and shaky...even though I have eaten plenty not to feel this way...oh well...until next time

Grandpa and Me

Their has been lots of excitement in the Moody household the last 24 hours...Grandpa Moody made his way from California along with our new dog Miss Maggie Moo and Dad...Dylan has thoroughly been enjoying his visit with his Grandpa...with lots of cuddles, reading books, and good ole play time....Maggie Moo so far has been a wonderful addition to the family and is fitting in just fine with the rest of the Moody gang....Winston initially wasn't so sure about sharing his family with Maggie but has decided that if he had to share that Maggie is a pretty sweet gal to be spending time with...we are all enjoying the visit from Grandpa Moody very much...he really has a special way with Dylan....it is so fun to watch....until next time

Anxious Update

Well all went well at Gymboree...and my Gymbucks...Dylan got a very cute outfit for this summer at 50% off marked pricing...size 18-24 months....I have to present a new counter offer tonight at 5:00 to my clients.....and Collin and his Dad are driving back with Maggie....all seems well...Collin says that she is a super dog...that she is not quite as big and good looking as in the pictures...but that her temperament more than makes up for it....Collin's Dad is driving and Collin is in the back seat with Maggie sleeping on his lap.......they are going to stop right out of Las Vegas for the night and head home in the morning.......so thats it for my anxious update........until next time

Coupons Rock

Yes coupons rock!!!!If you asked me five years ago what I thought about coupons or saving money at the grocery store I would have probably looked at you with a blank stare...yes Collin and his frugal ways are rubbing off on me...just as I am rubbing off on him...(after all he is driving 18 hours to buy and pickup a dog)we are excited about both the dog and the store coupons...I have been doing pretty good at cutting my coupons and redeeming them...but today was pretty darn awesome....it was like one of those things you see the super coupon ladies on tv do...usually a segment on one of the morning shows....today that super coupon lady was me....I bought $90.00 worth of groceries paid $31.00 for them and got $17.00 dollars off my next purchase no minimum purchase required...and 3 free gallons of milk on my next purchase....and right now they are having a screaming deal on fiber one cereal so tomorrow I will take my coupons and buy 15 boxes of Fiber one Cereal for $30.00 use my $17.00 in coupons so I will pay $13.00 for my cereal and get 3 gallons a free milk....and as I leave the store...my purchase of general mills products will issue me another $15.00 coupon for anything in the store on my next purchase and 3 more free gallons of milk..........I know this is alot of cereal....but I love this cereal and it is really good for my diet..........by the way I have lost 6 pounds since the 1st....I go thru like 2 boxes a week...and if it is not on sale it is like $5.00 a box....so I am very excited about my recent savings the best so far.....I also am pretty proud of my Gymboree spending....I haven't been....but that will change....next week I get to spend all my gymbucks I have been saving....basically for every $50.00 worth of clothes you only spend $25.00...to pay for my Gymboree spending I actually took in some of Dylan's old baby clothes to a nearly new shop....and made $30.00 so my Gymboree outfits will be basically free........I love free..........what more could a girl ask for....losing weight....getting a dog.....saving money...and Gymboree for free........

Saturday

Yeah its Saturday that means me and Dillybar get the whole day together...we were suppose to have a family day yesterday...but that darn job of mine got in the way....things are starting to get busy...I ran all day yesterday....the morning started out slow until I got a call from some of my clients who decided to put a offer in on a property they saw the day before....they own a home in California so we wanted to do some creative finacing to get the initial payment here as low as possible...or work on the loan in California....anyways we also invited Carl and Darlene over for dinner and I had a additional appointment with another client to talk about the investment property they are closing on at the end of the month and they also want to buy a piece of commercial property for a business....so with that...I did what I do best move into 5th gear and get it done...with lots and lots of help from Collin we got the house clean....he went grocery shopping for Dinner...I made my lunch appointment...my bank appointment...contracts written...had dinner...then ran back to the office met with my other clients...signed contracts...delivered offer and made it home at about 9:00 ....a good busy day...but I missed my dillybar and Collin terribly...so today is a dillybar day...just us playing...cuddling...napping...and laundry....still have to do laundry.....tomorrow Collin will be home and unfortunately I will need to do some work....about a hour at the office...about a hour with clients....then about 3 hours of paperwork I can do at home......and get ready for Maggie and Grandpa Moody.....and get Collin ready for his big trip..........well time to go............Dylan is demanding that I play with him on the floor........wow what a lucky gal I am

6 month appointment

Dylan had his 6 month appointment yesterday...and was a real champ thru the whole thing...he is 28 inches long and is 29 and 1/2 pounds....which puts him at 90% for his length and 75% for his weight....we asked a couple of questions that concerned us ...and Dr. Leland said that we have nothing to worry about...Dylan is about as close to perfect as they come............ahhhhh he must tell all the parents that...but Dylan really is pretty darn close to perfect in our eyes.......he took his flu shot (actually drink) like it was lemonade and had no problem with his shots..he cried from the poke for about 15 seconds...then back to smiles...its been busy at work....today I have 3 appointments......and hopefully putting a offer on the table.......well until next time

to do list-----do work

It has been a good Monday...slept in with the whole family...there is something so special about watching your baby boy waking up in your arms....Dylan wakes up with a smile when he is being cuddled close...it is such a special quiet time...I will always treasure and appreciate this time with him....we had a nice morning and I went to work this afternoon....this evening I decided to clean out our junk basket....everything goes in the junk basket...both Collin and I keep random check list....I found a to do list written by Collin on Marriott Hotel stationery... as I looked at the to do list....the first item was sex, then followed by several department stores in Denver.....followed by picking up bike tires for our trip to Missouri....sex usually does not make it on our to do list..but at the time we were working on conceiving Dylan....the funny thing is that is most likely when Dylan was conceived....so we decided to keep the to do list on the Marriott Stationery...perhaps as a reminder that to do list do work....and that is how our little Dillybar got here......

Random

It has been a busy New Year so far...nothing tooo exciting just busy...busy taking down the outside decorations...saying good bye to our snowmen and our alpine trees... pinecones and red bows...and I can't forget our willow vine reindeer....they are now safetly tucked away in the rafter in the garage....next year sometime around mid November I will starting eyeing them again...anxiously counting the days until I can take them down...say hello and help them find their place in the yard...now I am debating if I will decorate at all for Valentines Day...I suppose a little bit....
Winston lays by my side as I type this...he such a good dog....wow I love him so...I kind of feel bad....that he really doesn't have a say about Maggie...he really has no idea how much his little life will change here shortly...I hope he really likes Maggie...and I hope Maggie likes him....he gets along with almost all dogs...he does well with my moms dogs...they are both female...so we are hoping it will be a good fit...we are pretty confident it will be....of course Winston will always be my special boy...
Mr Mooks by the way still loves Dylan...he can't get enought of our little Dillybar and is always by his side...it really is quite special
Collin...is playing with Dillybar now they just took a bath...he is such a good father....it has been really facinating to watch the different relationship that we both have with Dylan...he gets different types of attention from both of us....
I am showing houses this afternoon to some of my clients...this is a good thing I am also dieting...... I need to..I know I will feel so much better once I get the rest of this weight off...not to mention my wardrobe selection will increase dramatically....so far it is going really well....and I haven't had any set backs yet or any real desire to raid the cupboards...it has only been 4 days but I am feeling really good and really excited about it...
Finally Dylan...he is changing and growing so much...he is truly a precious gift in our lives....he has been a little cranky lately and a little needy for his mother...I am assuming that this is a phase....he really loves to play and loves to giggle....he is eating quite a bit also....about 3 times a day....and is eating a whole container of baby food at each feeding.....he is just a little over 6 months and will be going to his 6 month Dr. Appt next week....he is not crawling yet and it doesn't seem to be of much interest to him yet....we did though purchase two of those foam mats so that he can fall...crawl..and play on the hardwood floors without hurting himself...they are quite colorful with the alphabets and numbers on them...perhaps that will give him more options to explore...
and with that have a great Sunday
